The Role
As a Junior Sales Trader, you’ll play a vital role in supporting a small, high-performing team covering institutional clients, wealth managers, and HNW investors. You'll gain hands-on experience in secondary trading, new issues, and client coverage while developing deep market insight and strong professional networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain bond sector universes, producing insightful reports and pricing runs
- Stream pricing and maintain accurate runs/axes
- Manage and update client databases and CRMs
- Execution of secondary market trades and new issue distribution
- Assist in client relationship management and coverage
Who We’re Looking For
This role is ideal for someone with up to two years’ market experience, who’s keen to build a career in fixed income sales and trading. We’re especially interested in candidates with exposure to GBP bonds —including Gilts, T-Bills, and Corporates.
Skills & Experience:
- Solid understanding of financial markets, with the ability to develop trusted client relationships
- Strong communication—both written and verbal—with a clear, analytical mindset
- Confident with financial statement analysis and market trends
- Familiarity with Bloomberg and execution platforms (e.g. ALLQ, Tradeweb, MarketAxess)
- Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office; CRM experience a plus
- Highly organised, with the ability to multitask under pressure in a trading environment
- A positive, collaborative mindset and desire to learn
