Alleyn’s Junior School are seeking a Pastoral Care Assistant to provide warm, proactive support to pupils across our caring and inclusive community. The successful candidate will help to uphold our values‑led pastoral ethos, ensuring that every child feels supported, understood and able to thrive both in and beyond the classroom.

The candidate will work closely with staff, parents and external professionals to promote emotional wellbeing, resilience and a positive approach to learning. They will play an important role in helping pupils manage their emotions, build confidence and fully engage with school life, contributing to the nurturing culture that defines Alleyn’s Junior School.

This is a full time, term time only position working 41.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 7:30 am to 4:15 pm. Ongoing professional development and training will be provided to support the postholder in maintaining up‑to‑date pastoral knowledge and best practice.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
