Library Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our busy and welcoming School Library.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for reading, learning and working with young people to contribute to a vibrant learning environment at the heart of the School.

Working closely with the Head of Library and Research Learning, you will help ensure that the Library remains an engaging, well-organised and accessible space for pupils and staff.

From supporting pupils in locating resources and developing a love of reading, to assisting with library events, displays and reading initiatives, you will play an important role in promoting literacy, independent learning and academic success across the School community.

What we\'re looking for

  • A graduate with a genuine interest in literature, reading and education.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Confident communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
  • Strong IT skills and the ability to work confidently with digital resources and online platforms.
  • A proactive, enthusiastic and flexible approach to work.
  • Experience working in a library, school or customer-facing environment is desirable.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Hours

Monday to Friday, term-time only. Full details will be provided at interview.
