About Us

Join us in building the leading AI-Powered Mission Control for Corporate Travel. Some of the world's most recognizable companies, representing over $4T in market value, rely on Clarasight's software to reduce risks, save costs, protect revenues, and manage emissions aligned with business objectives and sustainability goals.

About You

You are a builder at heart — curious, pragmatic, and motivated by hard infrastructure problems. You thrive in early-stage environments where speed and ownership are critical. You act as a driver, not a passenger, and you want to be part of a small team where your contributions have outsized influence. You love designing systems that scale across clouds, automating everything you can, and building platforms that make other engineers more productive. You care deeply about reliability, security, and operational excellence.

About the Role

We are seeking a Founding Infrastructure Engineer to help build and scale the core platform that powers Clarasight. Our platform runs on AWS as a multi-tenant SaaS product — you'll help extend it to support customer-owned cloud deployments across AWS, GCP, and Azure over time. You'll design deployment automation, build internal tooling, and support enterprise customer deployments, sitting at the intersection of platform reliability, customer delivery, and engineering productivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Multi-Cloud Architecture
    • Design infrastructure that runs consistently across cloud providers.
    • Extend our AWS platform to support customer-owned deployments across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
  • Infrastructure as Code
    • Build and maintain infrastructure with Terraform or similar tools.
    • Develop automated, reproducible deployment pipelines for internal and customer environments.
  • Customer Deployments
    • Work with enterprise customers to deploy Clarasight into their cloud accounts.
    • Build tooling and documentation that makes deployments scalable and repeatable.
  • Reliability & Observability
    • Design monitoring, logging, and alerting across distributed environments.
    • Establish best practices for security, networking, and access management.
  • Engineering Enablement
    • Build internal tooling that makes it easier for product engineers to deploy and operate services.
    • Help define DevOps and CI/CD best practices.

You’ll Be a Great Fit If You…

  • Have 4+ years in infrastructure, platform engineering, or DevOps.
  • Have strong hands-on AWS experience and familiarity with IaC tools like Terraform.
  • Have built CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment systems.
  • Have designed or operated production systems in cloud environments.
  • Thrive in fast-paced, early-stage startup environments.

Nice to Haves

  • Multi-cloud experience (GCP, Azure).
  • Enterprise or customer-managed deployment experience.
  • Kubernetes or container orchestration experience.
  • Multi-tenant SaaS infrastructure background.
  • TypeScript and/or Python development experience.

Diverse Perspectives

We know that innovation thrives on teams where diverse points of view come together to solve hard problems in ways that are just now possible. As such, we explicitly seek people that bring diverse life experiences, diverse educational backgrounds, diverse cultures, and diverse work experiences. Please be prepared to share with us how your perspective will bring something unique and valuable to our team.

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. If AlleyCorp uses React or Node.js, for instance, be ready to discuss how we’ve used them in previous projects or coursework.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
