A leading global food business is seeking a Senior National Account Manager to drive their portfolio with the UK's largest grocery retailer (Tesco). This is a high-impact commercial role sitting at the heart of their growth strategy. With a portfolio of iconic brands, this business operates at scale across multiple categories and is known for strong brand investment, commercial excellence, and collaborative customer partnerships.
You'll own the end-to-end commercial relationship, covering critical trading periods including Christmas, Easter, and other peak moments throughout the year. This is a highly visible role requiring pace, commercial acumen, and the ability to influence across the business. You'll shape joint business plans, lead negotiations, and drive category growth whilst ensuring flawless execution during the most important weeks of the trading calendar.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the full customer relationship and commercial agenda for the Seasonal portfolio
- Developing and executing joint business plans that deliver against both company and customer objectives
- Building compelling customer propositions and leading commercial negotiations to grow market share
- Driving seasonal campaign planning and activation across all channels, ensuring best-in-class execution
- Collaborating closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to align demand planning and promotional strategy
- Analysing performance throughout peak trading windows and adapting plans to maximise results
- Bringing insight, challenge, and strategic direction to the wider commercial team
The Ideal Candidate:
You’ll bring solid FMCG experience with a proven track record in national account management, ideally with Tesco and proven ability to manage a National Account Executive. You’re commercially confident, data-led, and able to translate insight into clear, actionable strategies. You thrive in high-pressure environments, particularly during peak trading periods, and can balance short-term delivery with longer-term growth. Strong stakeholder management comes naturally to you, able to build credibility quickly and influence across all levels. A solid understanding of category dynamics, promotional planning, and customer strategy is essential, alongside excellent communication and presentation skills. Above all, you bring energy, ownership, and a solutions-focused mindset.
