An opportunity for an experienced Category Manager to join a leading food manufacturer on a 12-18 month fixed-term contract. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact in a dynamic FMCG environment.
The Role
As Category Manager, you will be responsible for end-to-end category management, from insight generation to customer partnering and market execution. You'll play a crucial role in driving long-term, sustainable category growth and influencing positive change within the market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate data from multiple sources into clear, actionable insights and compelling sell stories
- Build collaborative relationships with customers to become a trusted partner and influence change
- Lead total category range reviews with customers
- Develop and share category strategies covering all growth levers
- Provide category-specific insights to customer teams, including shopper profiles and gap analysis
- Represent the consumer perspective to operational teams to aid decision-making
The Ideal Candidate:
We're looking for an experienced Category Manager with:
- Experience in own label or brand-led FMCG category management roles
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with a wide range of data sources
- Excellent communication and storytelling abilities
- Experience partnering with and influencing retailers
- A track record of working with external agencies to deliver projects
