A leading FMCG consultancy specialising in helping consumer brands grow across key retail channels is seeking an Insights Manager to join their well‑established insights team. The business works with major FMCG brands to improve visibility and sales performance across retail environments, integrating insight, analytics and marketing to understand consumer behaviour and optimise commercial outcomes.
The role involves managing and developing the Insights Team, delivering consistently high levels of actionable insight that adds measurable value to clients. This is a leadership role that encompasses analytic capability, commercial storytelling, and client‑facing insight delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the insights team in delivering added‑value, actionable insight and commercial analysis across client accounts.
- Own the direction and delivery of client reviews, preparing and presenting data‑driven results to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Develop analytical capability across the team, including forecasting, regression modelling, correlation analysis and ROI measurement.
- Assess promotional effectiveness, distribution compliance, pricing impacts, new product launches and field team intervention impact.
- Build and maintain insight‑specific relationships with client contacts, attending regular reviews and business development meetings.
- Conduct performance appraisals and implement personal development plans for the insight team.
- Ensure all analysis is commercially grounded, operationally realistic and set within relevant market context.
We are looking for someone with proven experience in continuous or category management insights within FMCG and grocery retail, ideally with experience coaching, developing and leading direct reports. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator capable of translating complex data into compelling commercial stories and influencing stakeholders at all levels. They should be a problem‑solver with strong organisational skills, confident balancing the needs of multiple clients and projects while maintaining consistently high standards.
