An exciting opportunity has opened for a Market Insights & Analytics Manager to join a global FMCG powerhouse, driving critical market and competitor insights that shape strategic decisions across a portfolio of iconic brands. This is a high-impact role for an insights professional with a passion for consumer understanding, data storytelling, and delivering commercial value through intelligence.
The Role
Sitting within the global insights and analytics function, this role is central to delivering clear, actionable intelligence across multiple categories and markets. Working closely with marketing, commercial, and strategy teams, you will be responsible for embedding external insight into both long-term strategic planning and day-to-day decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of regular market performance and competitor analysis, providing actionable insights that drive global and regional strategy.
- Build and develop enterprise-wide insight reporting platforms, with a particular focus on Power BI solutions and harmonisation of multiple data sets.
- Manage and leverage external data partnerships, working closely with providers such as NIQ, Circana, and Kantar to ensure data accuracy and quality.
- Support key planning cycles, delivering future-focused consumer, category, and market trends to inform brand and innovation pipelines.
- Track and evaluate marketing performance, developing ROI measurement frameworks and recommending optimisations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay ahead of evolving technologies, particularly within AI and next-generation analytics platforms, identifying new ways to extract value from data.
The Person
- Experience in market insights or analytics, ideally with both agency and client-side exposure within FMCG.
- Strong analytical capability, with hands-on experience using Power BI and working with complex data sets across multiple markets.
- Deep knowledge of third-party data sources – NIQ, Circana, Kantar – and the ability to translate data into clear commercial stories.
- Excellent communicator, with proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders through insight-led narratives.
- Strong understanding of data processes, including ETL and data harmonisation.
- Naturally curious, commercially savvy, and passionate about understanding consumer behaviour and market dynamics.
