An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Category Manager to join a leading global confectionery business with a strong UK presence. This role will see you partnering with one of the UK's largest grocery retailers to drive category growth and deliver joint business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a key partner to a major UK grocery retailer and its subsidiaries, using category insight to support joint business growth.
- Deliver objective, data‑led recommendations to drive distribution, share of shelf, and range optimisation.
- Support range reviews, influence NPD plans, and shape in‑store execution through clear merchandising principles.
- Analyse category performance, monitor market trends, and identify growth opportunities.
- Generate meaningful shopper and category intelligence to inform decision‑making across the business.
- Develop and execute compelling sell‑in stories for innovation and range extensions.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience in Category Management within the FMCG sector.
- Strong understanding of category dynamics, market trends, and consumer behaviour.
- Proficiency in using market research tools such as Nielsen, Kantar, or Circana.
- Experience in areas such as in‑store activation, shelf presence, or range reviews.
- Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence decisions through insight and storytelling.
Location: West London - 3 days office / 2 days home.
