If you’re looking to take on a high-impact role with regional responsibility, this is an opportunity to lead category development and shopper strategy across multiple markets. This growing FMCG business is seeking a Category & Shopper Marketing Lead to own the insight, analysis and activation agenda across its European distributor network. You’ll work cross-functionally with sales, marketing and customer teams to shape brand plans, translate data into action, and drive best-in-class execution at retail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop actionable insights from retail, panel data
- Build and present compelling trade stories for launches, range reviews and category growth
- Collaborate with sales and marketing to align distributor plans with brand and customer strategies
- Lead pre and post evaluation of promotional activity to measure ROI and inform future planning
- Manage and maintain Nielsen, GFK, IQVIA and Kantar tools and databases
- Act as Customer Marketing lead for top-tier customer meetings across Europe
- Work closely with the Shopper Marketing Manager to ensure retail excellence in activation
The Ideal Candidate:
- You’ll bring a strong track record in category management and shopper marketing, ideally within Europe.
- Comfortable working with large data sets, you’ll be analytically sharp and commercially curious and able to turn insight into influence both internally and with customers.
- 7+ years in Category Management; experience across EU retail landscapes a plus
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills with a detail-focused, data-driven approach
- Experience using Nielsen, IRI and Kantar data sources
- Confident communicator with the gravitas to lead customer-facing discussions
- Previous experience managing people and/or working in a multi-country distribution model
