Allerton Bishop is delighted to be partnering with a global food manufacturing organisation to appoint a Manufacturing Excellence Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the deployment of a world-class manufacturing operating system, driving operational excellence, continuous improvement and cultural change across a flagship UK manufacturing site.
Working alongside the Site Leadership Team, you will coach leaders, develop high-performing teams and deliver measurable improvements across safety, quality, productivity, cost and customer performance.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the implementation and continuous evolution of the site's Manufacturing Excellence programme, embedding Lean Manufacturing principles and driving a culture of continuous improvement.
- Partner with Site Leadership to improve operational performance across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Sustainability and People (SQDCSM), delivering measurable productivity and efficiency gains.
- Coach and influence manufacturing, engineering and operational teams to embed best practice, structured problem solving and sustainable behavioural change throughout the organisation.
- Drive Operational Excellence initiatives including Lean, TPM, Root Cause Analysis, OEE improvement, Hoshin Planning and performance management to achieve world-class manufacturing standards.
- Champion digital manufacturing and Industry 4.0 initiatives, supporting the implementation of MES and data-driven decision making to enhance operational performance.
- Monitor site performance, identify improvement opportunities and lead cross-functional projects that reduce waste, improve reliability, optimise manufacturing processes and support long-term business growth.
- Proven experience leading Operational Excellence or Continuous Improvement programmes within a manufacturing environment, together with expertise in Lean Manufacturing, TPM, World Class Manufacturing (WCM), Six Sigma or similar methodologies.
- You’ll be an influential leader with the ability to coach and engage stakeholders across Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain and Quality.
- Industry Experience within Food Manufacturing, FMCG, Pharmaceutical, Chemical or Process Manufacturing environments.
