Allerton Bishop is delighted to be partnering with a global food manufacturing organisation to appoint a Manufacturing Excellence Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the deployment of a world-class manufacturing operating system, driving operational excellence, continuous improvement and cultural change across a flagship UK manufacturing site.

Working alongside the Site Leadership Team, you will coach leaders, develop high-performing teams and deliver measurable improvements across safety, quality, productivity, cost and customer performance.

  • Lead the implementation and continuous evolution of the site's Manufacturing Excellence programme, embedding Lean Manufacturing principles and driving a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Site Leadership to improve operational performance across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Sustainability and People (SQDCSM), delivering measurable productivity and efficiency gains.
  • Coach and influence manufacturing, engineering and operational teams to embed best practice, structured problem solving and sustainable behavioural change throughout the organisation.
  • Drive Operational Excellence initiatives including Lean, TPM, Root Cause Analysis, OEE improvement, Hoshin Planning and performance management to achieve world-class manufacturing standards.
  • Champion digital manufacturing and Industry 4.0 initiatives, supporting the implementation of MES and data-driven decision making to enhance operational performance.
  • Monitor site performance, identify improvement opportunities and lead cross-functional projects that reduce waste, improve reliability, optimise manufacturing processes and support long-term business growth.

Proven experience leading Operational Excellence or Continuous Improvement programmes within a manufacturing environment, together with expertise in Lean Manufacturing, TPM, World Class Manufacturing (WCM), Six Sigma or similar methodologies. You'll be an influential leader with the ability to coach and engage stakeholders across Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain and Quality.

Industry Experience within Food Manufacturing, FMCG, Pharmaceutical, Chemical or Process Manufacturing environments.
