Allerton Bishop is partnered with a global consumer healthcare organisation to appoint a Senior R&D Manager. This is a high-impact, international role focused on New Product Introduction (NPI), Existing Product Development (EPD), and Technology Transfer across a multi-site manufacturing network.
Operating at the intersection of R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Commercial, this position will play a critical role in bringing new products to market, transferring products across regions, and supporting expansion into new geographies.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of new product launches and product transfers, ensuring seamless execution across global manufacturing sites and external partners.
- Lead global New Product Introduction (NPI) programmes from development through to commercialisation.
- Oversee Existing Product Development (EPD) and lifecycle management activities.
- Manage Technology Transfer across internal sites and external CDMOs.
- Support product launches into new markets and regions, aligning regulatory, supply chain and manufacturing requirements.
- Partner with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain and Operations to ensure aligned execution.
- Drive project timelines, risk mitigation and governance across complex programmes.
- Ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders across Europe and global markets.
Candidate Profile
- We are seeking a technically credible and commercially aware leader with experience across:
- Science degree, Masters or PhD is advantageous alongside industry work experience.
- Consumer healthcare, pharmaceuticals, OTC or FMCG environments.
- New Product Introduction (NPI), Technology Transfer, Product Development or Industrialisation.
- Proven experience delivering NPI and product transfer project scale up.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, formulation and product development requirements.
- Experience working across cross-functional global teams.
- Ability to operate in a matrix, fast-paced environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel regularly to UK and Italy.
