The Director of Business Development is a strategic leadership opportunity for an experienced pharmaceutical licensing and business development professional seeking ownership of portfolio expansion, product acquisition, and commercial partnerships across Europe. The successful candidate will have a track record of in and out licensing deals, while building a strong network across the European pharmaceutical market.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute the European licensing agreements and business development strategy.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of product acquisition, in-licensing, and partnership opportunities.
- Identify and engage pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and specialty pharma companies across Europe.
- Drive cross-functional due diligence activities with Commercial, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Medical, and Finance teams.
- Negotiate licensing agreements, commercial partnerships, and strategic collaborations.
- Manage external partnerships and alliance management relationships throughout the product lifecycle.
- Represent the business at industry conferences, partnering meetings, and senior stakeholder discussions.
- Proven pharmaceutical Business Development, Licensing, or M&A experience.
- Strong understanding of the European pharmaceutical market.
- Demonstrated track record of sourcing, evaluating, and licensing transactions.
- Degree qualified within Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business, or a related discipline preferred.
