Job Description

Lead the UK affiliate input into the global development strategies for key pipeline assets, including advice on evidence generation for optimal UK launches. The Pipeline Lead will work closely with global and affiliate cross-functional colleagues to provide robust recommendations. They will also be responsible for NICE Scientific Advice projects and Horizon Scanning activities. This role reports into the Head of HTA and Health Economics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Have strategic oversight on the development of the early launch plans for assigned assets and associated indications in the AbbVie pipeline.
  • Responsible for leading the development and communication of UK recommendations to internal global stakeholders on pipeline strategy through the early touchpoint process.
  • Advise on appropriate trial design and RWE/OR evidence needs to optimise HTA outcomes of assets.
  • Lead NICE Scientific Advice projects including development of briefing book and responses in collaboration with key internal stakeholders.
  • Represent AbbVie with a high degree of professionalism at NICE early scientific advice engagement.
  • Responsible for organisation and facilitation of preparatory meetings.
  • Ensure clear lines of communication on progress with the internal team and communicate key learnings from NICE engagement.
  • Provide early advice on asset CE and pricing through the use and development of appropriate frameworks and models.
  • Lead development of horizon scanning submissions and ensure ongoing updates and processes are completed.
  • Support understanding of emerging UK access pathways and advise on suitability for early assets.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Life Sciences or other relevant area with advanced degree in Health Economics, or other relevant area.
  • Launching new pharmaceutical products into an HTA or single-payer market.
  • A deep understanding of UK HTA processes and methods.
  • Skilled in developing strategies to secure positive recommendations from UK HTA bodies.
  • Experience of working across multiple therapeutic areas and able to get up to speed quickly with new data.
  • Experience and strong ability in working collaboratively across matrix functions.
