Job Description

Purpose

The role involves assessing and addressing economic evaluations and value propositions to guide decision makers in establishing rational, evidence-based treatment guidelines. The focus is on informing brand strategies and tactics with the patient at the center, operating within AbbVie's business code of conduct, policies, laws, and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and utilize HEOR needs for local data, studies, and economic approaches to address HTA and payer & provider requirements, supporting new product launches.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with health economic KOLs and the HE community to access primary data.
  • Provide relevant pharmaco-economic local data to brand teams to demonstrate brand value and support market access.
  • Partner with HQ HEOR to adapt and implement research outcomes and models in the local environment, influencing strategic decisions and demonstrating economic benefits of AbbVie products to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to HQ HEOR on regional needs for global models, aligning with Area HEOR to support local challenges.
  • Collaborate with medical teams to incorporate local HEOR endpoints into studies and synthesize modeling conclusions.
  • Develop, lead, and coach team members and direct reports.
  • Support manuscript generation and publication efforts.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of HTA, payer, and provider requirements and processes.
  • Understanding of health economics principles and methodologies.
  • Skills in meta-analysis and evidence-based medicine to enhance HEOR models.
  • Ability to develop recommendations for epidemiological and observational studies.
  • Effective cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Preferred: Health economics degree or equivalent; successful track record in pharmaceutical or academic roles.
