SUMMARY
Keeps buildings in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties:
QUALIFICATIONS
- Self-motivated, positive attitude individuals with high cleaning standards
- Must have an excellent attendance record
- Ability to sweep and mop floors, vacuum carpets, clean fixtures in restrooms, restock soap and paper products, dust and clean woodwork and furniture, clean windows, empty trash containers, etc.
- Knowledge of occupational safety and health regulations
- Good knowledge of the utilization and care of materials and equipment used
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the public
- Ability to work independently or in a team
- Must have a flexible schedule to cover all the need items on various shifts
- Must be able to work closely with Facility Reservation Coordinator to ensure proper setup is done when needed and all events are covered on all shifts
- Must have knowledge of the utilization and care of materials and equipment used in a cost-effective manner
- Must be able to communicate verbally or in writing effectively with staff and public
- Must have effective cleaning methods that produce quality cleaning
- Must have experience in all areas of cleaning such as classroom, lunchroom, locker room, carpet, tile, waxing, setups, events, etc.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cleaning classrooms, restrooms, halls, lockers, locker rooms, gyms, offices and all other school areas
- Cleaning after special events, home sporting events and other weekend work may be required
- Assist with setup and tear down after special events, and sporting events
- Clean restrooms and restock soap, paper, and sanitary products
- Maintains building, performing minor maintenance activities
- Clean with time based standards
- Cleans debris from sidewalks as needed
- Trash pickup on grounds around buildings and field
