Allen & York are delighted to be working with a leading national constructor as they look to recruit a Sustainability Manager to join the Regeneration Team – the fastest growing and most commercially successful team in the business. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, passionate sustainability professional who has worked in the construction sector ideally, although you may have strong consultancy experience and have worked on construction projects. You’ll be joining a driven, growing Team and work on three high profile projects in London initially and this is deliberate to ensure you can deliver on your commitments, instead of being spread too thin. The clients you will be working with can be demanding and have high standards around embodied carbon and circular economy, as well as BREEAM Outstanding and WELL Platinum. As such, any experience of having worked on projects which have required these will be really beneficial. You’ll be working on large refurbishment projects, with project values of over £100mn so experience of having worked on large, commercial and mixed-use projects would be great. You will have strong project management skills, be passionate, impact focused and will thrive in a fast-paced environment. You’ll also have excellent communication skills and strong presentation skills, as you’ll be regularly presenting to the clients, who can be demanding from a sustainability perspective, and you’ll be involved in the tendering processes. You’ll also be educating contractors and subcontractors on site so your ability to adapt your language to your audience is important. Additionally, if you have knowledge and experience of ISO14001 auditing on site, that would be particularly helpful, as would experience of FSC Certification. Based in London at their Canary Wharf headquarters, you will be working on projects in London, and you’ll typically spend four days on site and one in the office, so you’ll be based in London for ease of travelling. So, if you’re passionate, impact focused and you’d like to find out more about this fantastic opportunity to join the most lucrative department in the business and really move sustainability forward, please send your CV to kpereira@allen-york.com. About us: Allen & York have been matching purposeful people with purpose-led organisations for 30 years.
