Senior Environmental AdvisorLocation: GrimsbySalary: Competitive An exciting opportunity for an experienced environmental professional to join a leading international manufacturing organisation at its Grimsby site. This is a key role within the SHE team, supporting environmental compliance, sustainability and continuous improvement across a complex industrial operation.The successful candidate will provide environmental expertise, working independently and collaboratively to ensure high standards of compliance, risk management and environmental performance.Key responsibilities:Maintain environmental procedures, documentation and guidanceMonitor compliance and key environmental and HSE parametersSupport environmental inspections, audits, risk assessments and investigationsLiaise with environmental regulatory bodies and certification organisationsLead and coordinate external ISO accreditation auditsAnalyse environmental data and produce reports and recordsIdentify training requirements and deliver environmental awareness trainingProvide advice, coaching and support to colleaguesEnsure inspection recommendations and corrective actions are implementedContribute to environmental budgeting and improvement initiativesDeputise for the SHE Leadwhen requiredAbout you:Science-based qualification, preferably with an environmental focusExperience working within an Environmental Management SystemExperience dealing with the Environment AgencyPrevious experience in anmanufacturing orindustrial environmentKnowledge of Environmental Permitting RegulationsUnderstanding of UK ETS and Waste RegulationsSome knowledge of NORM would be advantageousStrong communication, influencing and coaching skillsExcellent Microsoft Office capabilitiesA proactive approach and ambition to develop professionallyThe role offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to environmental performance while developing your career within a supportive, international organisation.Benefits include:Competitive salary and benefits packageBonus schemeFlexible working, including a nine-day fortnightLife insurance and salary continuanceHealth and wellbeing benefitsService awards and additional employee perksThe organisation is committed to creating an inclusive workplace and is a Level 2 Disability Confident Employer.
