A leading offshore consultancy with over 30 years' experience delivering complex marine energy projects is seeking a Senior or Principal Marine Environmental Consultant to join its environment and consents team. The role is hybrid, based in the south of England, with flexible working and a competitive package.
You will lead and deliver marine environmental assessments including EIA, SEA and HRA across offshore renewables, subsea cables and marine infrastructure, supporting responsible development through the energy transition. Strong experience in marine consenting, project management and regulator engagement is essential. This role places particular importance on expertise in marine mammals or benthic ecology.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate depth of experience in assessment, impact evaluation and mitigation for these receptors within offshore energy and infrastructure projects. The position offers scope to shape consultancy services, contribute to business growth and support the development of colleagues, alongside hands-on technical leadership.
Applicants will hold a relevant degree, bring strong communication and analytical skills, and have a proven track record in marine environmental assessment. Senior candidates will typically have extensive industry experience, exposure to energy transition projects and professional chartership or progress towards it.
