We are supporting a leading environmental consultancy in the search for a Marine Water Quality & Physical Processes Director to join their growing UK-based remote team. This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced environmental consultancy professional with strong expertise across marine water quality, coastal and estuarine processes and multidisciplinary project delivery.
The role will focus on leading the operational delivery, strategic growth and commercial performance of a specialist marine discipline supporting major infrastructure, coastal and marine development projects across the UK and internationally. The successful candidate will oversee a broad portfolio of marine water quality and physical processes projects, including marine and coastal data collection, water quality investigations, technical studies, environmental assessment support and advisory services across marine and transitional water environments.
Working closely with senior leadership teams, you will play a key role in developing client relationships, identifying growth opportunities and shaping the future direction of the marine water quality and physical processes offering. The position will also involve leading multidisciplinary teams, overseeing resource planning and ensuring projects are delivered to a high technical and commercial standard.
This role would suit an individual with a strong consultancy background and proven experience managing technical teams, delivering complex environmental projects and building trusted relationships across the water and environmental sectors. Experience across commercial management, project tendering, financial forecasting and wider business development activities will be highly advantageous.
Candidates should possess strong technical expertise within marine water quality and environmental consultancy, alongside excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Additional experience in water quality modelling, applied data consultancy, coastal processes or international consultancy delivery would also be beneficial.
