Allen & York are delighted to be working with a dynamic, fast growing management consultancy who excel in project and programme management as they now look to recruit a Managing Consultant for Business Development to sit within their climate security and sustainability division, working with clients predominantly in the public sector.
Offering a range of services including climate resilience, adaptation, nature-based solutions and net zero pathways, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities, contributing to tenders and converting these into deliverable actions.
It goes without saying that you’ll have proven experience of working in a similar capacity previously, within a consultancy, where you excel in building strong relationships with senior stakeholders, coupled with a strong technical knowledge of sustainability and climate change.
Given the nature of the projects the business works on, it will be a distinct advantage if you have experience in the defence sector but it’s not essential. What is more important is your ability to develop relationships, identify opportunities for growth and to maximise these.
In addition, you’ll be comfortable overseeing a team of Principal Consultants who will then manage a wider team and part of your role will involve allocation of work and ensuring team utilisation.
With offices in Bristol, you’ll be able to easily access these if you’re based in the South West but we’re not limiting the search to this region, so please apply if you live further afield and are happy to visit the offices once or twice a month.
Reporting to the Director for the Net Zero business and one removed from the shareholders, this is a senior post and, as a result, a competitive salary and attractive benefits package is on offer.
So, if you are a seasoned business developer with strong and proven technical experience in sustainability and climate change, and you’d like to find out more about this excellent opportunity, please send your CV to kpereira@allen-york.com and we’ll have a conversation.
