Allen & York are supporting a major regulated organisation operating across the UK's energy and utilities sector in the appointment of a Senior SHE Manager. This is a critical leadership role, responsible for safeguarding people, assets and organisational reputation while ensuring the highest standards of safety governance across a complex, high-risk operational environment.
You will lead, govern and continuously improve the organisation's Safety Management System (SMS), ensuring alignment with legal, regulatory and industry standards, including ISO 45001 and relevant safety legislation. Acting as a senior interface between SHE leadership, regulators and operational teams, you will embed safety into decision-making and translate strategic objectives into robust, practical governance frameworks.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading SHE policy development
- Overseeing assurance activities such as audits, performance monitoring and document control
- Driving continuous improvement
- Playing a central role in regulatory engagement
- Supporting formal assurance processes
