If you're an experienced Fire Engineer looking for greater influence, technical autonomy and the opportunity to help build something rather than simply maintain it, this could be the move you've been waiting for.
We're working exclusively with a highly respected employee-owned consultancy that has built an outstanding reputation across the built environment.
As demand for its Building & Fire Safety services continues to grow, the business is looking to appoint a Senior Fire Engineer who can play a pivotal role in shaping both technical delivery and the future direction of the service.
This is far more than a project delivery role.
You'll become a trusted technical authority, working alongside Building Surveyors, Project Managers, Cost Consultants and Principal Designers to deliver intelligent, pragmatic fire engineering solutions across a diverse portfolio of complex buildings.
You'll have genuine autonomy to apply professional judgement, influence standards and mentor others, while enjoying direct client relationships and the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of the business.
The Role You'll lead the preparation and review of fire strategies, technical design statements, regulatory compliance reports and fire engineering solutions from concept through to completion.
Acting as the senior technical lead on projects, you'll provide assurance, challenge and guidance while ensuring compliance with the Building Safety Act, Building Regulations and current UK fire safety legislation.
Projects will include complex and higher-risk buildings, Gateway submissions, refurbishment schemes and external wall remediation, requiring a balanced approach that combines technical excellence with practical, commercially aware solutions.
Alongside technical delivery, you'll support business development, contribute to fee proposals, strengthen client relationships and help develop the next generation of fire engineers through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
About You You'll be Chartered (or working at an equivalent professional level) with significant UK fire engineering consultancy experience and a strong understanding of the current regulatory landscape.
You'll be comfortable leading complex projects, engaging confidently with clients and design teams, and making proportionate risk-based engineering decisions where others look for prescriptive answers.
Just as importantly, you'll enjoy collaborating across disciplines and want to be part of a business where your expertise genuinely influences the direction of the service.
Why Consider This Opportunity? This organisation has invested heavily in creating a culture where technical professionals are trusted, supported and encouraged to grow.
You'll be joining an employee-owned consultancy recognised for its commitment to its people, flexible working, sustainability and inclusive culture.
The business has earned multiple industry accreditations and continues to invest in professional development, wellbeing and long-term career progression.
In return, you'll benefit from: A genuine opportunity to shape and develop a growing Fire Engineering service.
Technical autonomy with direct access to senior decision-makers.
A collaborative multidisciplinary environment where your expertise is valued.
Flexible and agile working.
Excellent professional development and support towards continued chartership and leadership.
A competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
