Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Senior Ecologist to join the established and experienced team. The successful candidate will help deliver ecological consultancy to existing and new projects, providing consultancy expertise for the disciplines of protected species and terrestrial ecology.

You will need to hold a degree in an environmental subject and have extensive experience in an ecology role, with particular emphasis on protected species and the terrestrial environment. A member of an environmental professional body, such as CIEEM, you will have strong all-round IT skills and have experience of scheduling/programming using specialist computer programmes. An excellent communicator, you will be confident liaising with internal and external clients and enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues locally and nationally. You will need to be flexible in terms of travelling and working hours depending on project locations and be prepared to work in inclement weather conditions and outside of normal social working hours. You will require a full UK driving licence for this role. Previous commercial and/or regulatory experience would be advantageous to this role.

In return for your specialist skills and experience, you will receive a competitive salary and benefits package, together with the opportunity to further your career; working for an organisation which recognises your contribution and promotes a healthy work-life balance.

Committed to inclusiveness in the workplace, we aim to increase diversity across all areas and therefore welcome applications from all qualified candidates, regardless of their ethnicity, race, gender, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, age, or whether or not they have a disability.
