Principal EIA Consultant | Leeds (Hybrid)A leading independent environmental consultancy is seeking a Principal EIA Consultant to join its expanding Leeds-based team on a hybrid working basis.
This is a senior opportunity within a well-established, multidisciplinary organisation known for delivering high-quality environmental advice across major UK and European infrastructure, renewable energy and development projects.
The role sits within a collaborative EIA function that works closely with in-house technical specialists to integrate environmental considerations into project design from early strategy through to consenting and delivery.
You will lead and coordinate complex, multi-disciplinary EIAs, taking responsibility for Environmental Statements, screening and scoping, consultation and overall EIA delivery across a range of consenting regimes including Development Consent Orders and Town and Country Planning.
The position also involves direct client engagement, stakeholder liaison, project management and contributing to fee proposals and business development activity.
The role would suit an experienced EIA professional with strong UK regulatory knowledge, proven experience leading major EIAs, and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining technical quality.
You will also be confident mentoring junior staff and working closely with design teams to embed environmental outcomes into projects.
