Geo-Environmental Consultant/Engineering Geologist Competitive salary Manchester, UK (hybrid working) Allen & York are thrilled to be working with a leading global provider of consulting and engineering services. Our client is looking for an ambitious Geo-Environmental Consultant or Engineering Geologist to join the Geo-Environmental & Mining Business Unit. The team provides land quality, ground investigation, geotechnical and geo-environmental consultancy services to a broad range of private and public sector clients. You’ll need to hold a first degree or Masters in geology or engineering geology together with a CSCS card relevant to the position. With extensive experience of geotechnical and geo-environmental data assessment and drafting interpretative reports, you’ll have practical experience of managing and supervising ground investigations and laboratory scheduling. With sound knowledge of field investigation techniques, you’ll have a solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental management for ground investigation and of CDM regulations as applicable to design. An excellent communicator, you’ll have strong social and interpersonal skills and enjoy working as part of a team. You will require a full, clean driving licence, with a willingness to travel on occasion for ground investigation works or remediation supervision. Experience in drafting earthworks specifications and in the supervision of earthworks and of mining assessments and investigations would be advantageous to this role.
