We are seeking an FDIS Certified Fire Door Inspector / Fire Door Surveyor to join a growing specialist fire protection business working across commercial, residential, student accommodation and leisure sectors throughout the UK. The role is flexible in location and will require travel as required.
The Role
You will carry out fire door inspections and surveys, identifying defects and non-compliance, and producing clear, professional reports using digital surveying tools and mobile apps.
This is a client-facing role, requiring strong communication skills and a professional approach on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Fire door inspections and surveys across UK sites
- Identify defects, non-compliance and remedial actions
- Produce detailed inspection reports with photographic evidence
- Use digital surveying tools and mobile apps
- Liaise with clients, residents and contractors
- Travel across the UK (occasional overnight stays)
Requirements
- FDIS Certified Inspector
- Or recognised equivalent
You should also have:
- 5+ years' experience in fire doors / passive fire protection / joinery
- Strong knowledge of fire door compliance
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
- IT literacy and confidence using tablets/apps
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
