A nationally significant, highly regulated operational organisation is seeking an experienced environmental professional to lead environmental management across a key UK region. This senior role is primarily based at a major site with complex, high-risk operations, offering the opportunity to influence compliance, drive continuous improvement, and embed a strong environmental culture.
You will support ISO 14001 systems, prepare sites for audits, lead environmental assessments, manage incident reporting, and provide expert guidance on legislation and best practice. The role requires collaboration with operational leadership, regulators, and internal stakeholders to ensure robust environmental governance.
The ideal candidate will hold a degree or Level 6 Diploma in Environmental Management, have post-qualification experience, and be chartered or working towards chartership. Strong leadership, interpersonal skills, and experience in regulated, operational environments are essential, along with a hands-on approach, professional integrity, and the ability to influence others constructively.
This is a high-profile opportunity to shape environmental performance at one of the UK's most operationally complex sites, with limited travel beyond the main site.
We partner with our clients and candidates on roles that build an understanding of climate change, promote sustainability and create inclusive and responsible organisations, working towards a sustainable world for us all. Committed to inclusiveness in the workplace, we aim to increase diversity across all areas and therefore welcome applications from all qualified candidates, regardless of their ethnicity, race, gender, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, age, or whether or not they have a disability.
