ESG Performance Executive for Sustainability Corporate Affairs Team

Bedfordshire

Competitive salary and package

This is an excellent opportunity for an ESG Performance Executive to strengthen sustainability reporting and help advance the organisation's ambition to achieve Net Zero by 2040. Working in a fast-paced operational setting, the successful candidate will play a key role in tracking environmental and social performance, identifying opportunities for improvement, and supporting the delivery of long-term sustainability objectives alongside internal teams and external partners.

The successful candidate will lead the management of ESG and non-financial data, acting as a key point of contact for information used in corporate reporting, board updates, shareholder communications and planning submissions. They will ensure data is accurate, robust, evidenced and delivered to tight deadlines, while supporting sustainability reporting frameworks and standards, including GRESB, ISO and other relevant industry benchmarks.

Key responsibilities include monitoring progress against sustainability commitments, particularly decarbonisation and Net Zero targets, and producing monthly, quarterly and annual performance reports for internal and external stakeholders. The role will also support climate change adaptation reporting and strategy, working closely with internal teams and external partners to strengthen data quality, streamline processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Using analytical insights, you will help identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and sustainability outcomes. You will also contribute to the development of automated reporting processes, dashboards and performance tools, while maintaining an understanding of evolving ESG regulations, government requirements and industry best practice.

Applicants should have at least two years experience in data management, performance reporting or analytical roles within an operational environment. Strong numerical, analytical and organisational skills are essential, alongside advanced Excel capabilities and experience working with large datasets. Familiarity with Power BI, PowerApps, audited data, ESG regulations and frameworks such as the GHG Protocol, TCFD, GRI and SBTi would be advantageous.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented and solutions-focused, with excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills. Relevant qualifications in sustainability, finance or analytics are desirable.
