Data Analyst – Nature Recovery & Water Resources

Allen & York are proud to be partnering with Water Resources East (WRE) to recruit a Data Analyst who’s passionate about the power of data in tackling environmental and water resource challenges.
You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping WRE’s Regional Water Resources Plan and catchment-scale Environmental Destination investigations – key to driving nature recovery and water resilience in Eastern England.
Working closely with WRE’s Technical Director and team, you’ll lead on the collection, management, and visualisation of environmental data, support development of GIS and dashboard tools, and act as a key liaison with technical stakeholders including the Environment Agency and Rivers Trust.
Key responsibilities:
- Experience of managing and improving environmental/water resource datasets and data quality controls is essential.
- Develop dashboards, GIS tools, and visualisations (e.g. using Power BI , ESRI ArcGIS )
- Support data sharing platforms (SharePoint) and legal compliance on data licensing
- Provide insights from models and national screening tools to inform cross-sector planning
- Drive accessibility and clarity of data for diverse users and stakeholders
About you:
You’ll have experience managing complex datasets and working with data visualisation and GIS software. You’ll be detail-driven, collaborative, and confident presenting data to both technical and non-technical audiences. Power BI, SharePoint and ESRI ArcGIS knowledge is key.
