Allen & York are excited to be working with an award-winning agency, specialising in Ecology, Landscape Architecture and Arboriculture. Our client is looking for an ambitious Senior Ecologist to join the established team.
The successful candidate will:
- Manage fee-earning production projects independently and as a team.
- Support and mentor junior team members.
- Maintain and develop existing and new client relationships.
You will need to hold a degree or equivalent qualification in ecology, biology or similar and be a full member of CIEEM. With comprehensive experience in a similar role, you will be able to demonstrate your experience of managing, running and leading multi-disciplinary teams.
You will hold protected species licence(s), ideally bat and/or GCN and have extensive Preliminary Ecological Appraisal and survey experience, skills and knowledge. You will have significant project, site and task management experience with a broad knowledge of UK planning policy and Public Inquiry experience.
With strong IT and CAD drafting skills, you will have exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. An excellent communicator, you will have exceptional presentation and report writing skills and enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues.
You will need to be able and willing to undertake long journeys to various sites in all weather conditions and occasionally travel and work away from home, staying overnight if required, which may require you to work unsociable hours. You will require a full UK driving licence for this role.
