Overview

Allen & York are seeking an experienced Recycling Operations Manager to lead a flagship Recycling and Reuse Centre in West London. You will manage a team of 30-40 staff, oversee a £3 million operational and capital budget, and ensure safe, efficient, and compliant site operations. The role offers authority to make operational, financial, and safety decisions, while driving innovation in recycling, reuse, and circular economy initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of 30-40 staff and oversee day-to-day site operations.
  • Oversee a £3 million operational and capital budget and ensure financial discipline.
  • Ensure safe, efficient, and compliant site operations in line with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Drive innovation in recycling, reuse, and circular economy initiatives.
  • Make operational, financial, and safety decisions with appropriate accountability.

Qualifications

  • Proven operational leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Ability to manage budgets and performance.
  • Excellent people management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Relevant qualifications such as WAMITAB, an IOSH Certificate and project management or Six Sigma.
