Are you a dedicated and chartered Ecologist with experience managing projects and inspiring more junior team members to develop within a multiâdisciplinary consultancy? Looking for a new challenge to manage a diverse portfolio of multiple projects? This could be for you!
The position will be varied and duties include:
- Leading a varied portfolio of interesting and complex ecological projects from initial client liaison through to completion.
- Mentoring and managing enthusiastic ecologists by adopting a creative and inspiring approach.
- Contributing to business development activities including building client relationships and writing fee proposals to help expand our current portfolio.
- Project and people management to ensure effective delivery of reports.
- Being the lead author on a range of reports including EcIAs, ES Chapters and Habitat Regulations Assessments.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years' relevant work experience as an Ecologist in a consultancy environment.
- Full member of CIEEM, preferably a Chartered Ecologist or Chartered Environmentalist.
- Excellent knowledge of UK and EC wildlife legislation and policy.
- Excellent knowledge of EIA and the planning process.
- Proven experience of writing technical reports and delivery of EPSM licence documents; EcIA; ES Chapters Habitat Regulations Assessments and BREEAM Assessments.
- Named ecologist on EPSM licences â Bats / Great Crested Newts as a minimum.
- Staff mentoring experience.
