Water Resources East (WRE) is looking for a highly organised and proactive Project Administration Officer to support our growing portfolio of projects tackling one of the region’s most important challenges: water security. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key supporting role in meaningful, high-impact work—helping deliver projects that make a real difference to agriculture, the environment, and communities.
About the Role
You’ll provide essential administrative support across a range of projects, working closely with the team to ensure smooth delivery. Initially, your focus will be on supporting a major agricultural grant scheme in Cambridgeshire, before expanding into wider project support across WRE. This is a varied role where no two days are the same—ideal for someone who thrives on organisation, detail, and teamwork.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting project managers with financial administration and purchasing processes
- Managing grant applications using Microsoft 365 systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Organising meetings (online and in-person), including scheduling, agendas, minutes, and follow-ups
- Assisting with workshops and events logistics across the East of England
- Maintaining project documentation and SharePoint systems
- Handling inbox enquiries and stakeholder communications
- Supporting reporting, data management, and presentation preparation
- Contributing to wider team activities, including communications and engagement work
