Are you a passionate and experienced Solar PV Design Engineer looking to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a skilled professional to design, specify, and oversee solar PV installations across domestic and commercial projects. If you thrive in a dynamic environment and want to be at the forefront of renewable energy innovation, this role is for you!
What You'll Do
- Full project lifecycle management from concept to sign-off
- Design and specify solar PV systems for roof and ground-mounted installations
- Conduct site surveys and assessments for commercial and domestic projects
- Utilise PV design software including PVsyst, AutoCAD, and PVSol
- Liaise with District Network Operators (DNOs) and Independent Connection Providers (ICPs)
- Work with a team of renewable energy experts while also managing projects independently
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering OR significant PV design experience
- 4+ years of solar PV design experience in domestic and commercial projects
- Proficiency in PVsyst, AutoCAD, and PVSol for high quality system design
- Knowledge of CHP, gas, and battery storage systems (desirable)
- Experience handling DNO applications and grid connection processes
- Strong problem solving skills and a passion for renewable energy
