Are you someone who enjoys turning complex data into clear, commercial insight? Keen to play a key role in shaping real-world renewable energy projects?

I'm working with a fast-growing, well‐backed organisation in the clean energy space that's looking to bring in a Renewables Analyst to support the development and delivery of solar and battery storage projects across the UK. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone early in their career (or looking to step up) who wants to sit at the intersection of data, commercial strategy, and sustainability.

What you'll be doing:

  • Building and refining financial models for solar & battery projects (IRR, NPV, payback, etc.)
  • Analysing energy generation, consumption, and cost data to assess project viability
  • Supporting early‐stage solar system design and yield analysis
  • Creating clear dashboards and reports to inform decision‐making
  • Working closely with commercial, technical, and delivery teams
  • Conducting market and pricing research to strengthen project business cases

What they're looking for:

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and present complex data
  • Experience with tools like Excel (advanced), Power BI, SQL, Python or similar
  • Understanding of renewable energy project economics (solar and/or battery preferred)
  • Familiarity with concepts like IRR, NPV, PPA structures, and energy savings models
  • High attention to detail and a naturally curious, problem‐solving approach
  • Degree in a numerate subject (e.g. Economics, Engineering, Maths, Finance, Science)

Bonus points for:

  • Experience with solar design tools (e.g. Helioscope, PV Sol)
  • Exposure to AutoCAD or GIS tools
  • Knowledge of behind‐the‐meter solar projects

Why this role:

  • Work on real, tangible renewable energy projects making a measurable impact
  • Join a collaborative and commercially focused team
  • Strong opportunity to develop both technical and commercial skillsets
  • Be part of a growing sector with long‐term career potential
