Geospatial Operations Lead / Aerial Topographic Surveyor

Cambourne or Leeds | Hybrid & Flexible Working

I'm working with a growing engineering consultancy looking to appoint an experienced Geospatial Operations Lead / Aerial Topographic Surveyor to take ownership of its surveying capability and play a key role in the growth of the division.

Strong surveying experience is essential for this role. This position is suited to someone with a solid background in topographical surveying who also has experience with aerial survey techniques and is ready to take the next step into a broader technical and leadership position.

You'll combine hands-on survey delivery with responsibility for managing projects, reviewing data quality, coordinating external survey partners and improving systems and workflows. The role will involve a mix of aerial photogrammetry, LiDAR and traditional topographical surveying, alongside exposure to TLS, SLAM and measured building surveys.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Around 5+ years' surveying experience
  • A strong background in topographical surveying
  • Experience with aerial surveying, photogrammetry and/or LiDAR
  • Experience using CAD and survey processing software such as Pix4D, Agisoft, DJI Terra or N4CE
  • The ability to manage survey projects from initial enquiry through to final data delivery
  • An interest in developing into a leadership and operational role

This is a genuine opportunity to move beyond purely technical delivery, take ownership of a growing surveying function and have a real influence on how the team develops.

The role offers hybrid working, performance incentives, pension, 25 days' holiday and a clear progression route towards senior leadership.
