Environmental & Social Manager
Location: London (Hybrid) – 3 office days a week
You will lead the management of environmental and social (E&S) requirements across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with international lender standards and national regulations for complex international infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate E&S activities across project lifecycles
- Manage the procurement and review of key E&S deliverables, including Environmental & Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs), Environmental & Social Management Plans (ESMPs), Stakeholder Engagement Plans (SEPs), and environmental and social monitoring programmes
- Oversee specialist consultants and contractors and support construction teams on E&S compliance and stakeholder engagement
- Ensure alignment with international lender requirements, including IFC Performance Standards, Equator Principles and ECA expectations
- Engage with regulators, communities and project stakeholders to manage environmental and social risks effectively
About You
- Significant experience delivering or reviewing ESIAs for infrastructure, energy, built environment or industrial projects
- Strong environmental management and regulatory compliance expertise
- Experience working to IFC Performance Standards, Equator Principles and international financing requirements
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and project management skills
- Consultancy or owner‑engineer background with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
- Experience on international projects, particularly within emerging markets, is advantageous
