A Senior Geoenvironmental Consultant is required to join an established environmental team, providing expert risk reduction services to a range of clients. This role involves managing projects, overseeing site investigations and remediation works, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Working closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams, the consultant will play a key role in delivering technically robust and commercially aware solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and supervising site investigations, managing contractors, scheduling and interpreting laboratory analyses, and preparing risk assessments and technical reports.
- Overseeing remediation works and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
- Managing projects financially, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to business development.
- Communicating effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams; maintaining organisation and time management; and ensuring proficiency in Microsoft applications.
Qualifications:
- Background in earth sciences or geo-environmental disciplines and working towards Chartership.
- Experience supervising site investigations using various drilling techniques and working on contaminated land projects, particularly those involving petroleum hydrocarbon contamination.
- Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, remediation techniques, and chemical analysis of soil, water, and air samples.
