Allen & York are thrilled to be working with a highly regarded organisation, providing a wide range of environmental services to clients across the UK. Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Ecologist to join the established and experienced team. The successful candidate will help deliver ecology consultancy services to existing and new projects, providing ecology support to pollution emergency response.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver ecology consultancy services to projects.
- Provide ecology support to pollution emergency response.
- Conduct key ecological field surveys.
- Ensure compliance with wildlife legislation.
- Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
- Work flexibly in various conditions and locations.
Qualifications:
- Degree in biological or environmental sciences.
- Experience within an ecological consultancy.
- Strong understanding of ecological field surveys and wildlife legislation.
- Strong IT, analytical, and numeric skills.
- Willingness to learn new skills and work towards professional accreditation and protected species licences.
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
- Knowledge of aquatic environment legislation and its implementation, particularly the Water Framework Directive would be advantageous.
