An established international environmental solutions company is looking for a Project Engineer / Field Engineer to support the delivery of remediation projects across the UK and Europe. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1-2 years' experience in remediation, field sampling, geo-environmental / geotechnical work, or environmental surveying who enjoys hands-on site work and wants to develop technical expertise in contaminated land remediation.
The Role: You’ll play a key role in delivering remediation projects on site, supporting the implementation of innovative in-situ technologies used to treat contaminated groundwater and soil. Working alongside experienced project managers and technical specialists, you’ll gain exposure to projects across the UK and Europe. Typical responsibilities include:
- Supporting the delivery of remediation projects on site, including injection-based treatment technologies
- Operating remediation equipment and assisting with product preparation and application
- Site supervision and coordination with subcontractors
- Collecting field data and maintaining accurate site records and reports
- Supporting project managers with project planning, costing and technical documentation
- Providing technical support to clients during remediation works
- Contributing to proposal preparation and technical project design
About You: We’re looking for someone early in their career who is keen to develop within the contaminated land and remediation sector. You may have experience in:
- Environmental remediation or contaminated land projects
- Field sampling, monitoring, or environmental site investigations
- Geo-environmental or geotechnical engineering
- Environmental or land surveying
You’ll likely have:
- Around 1-2 years of relevant industry experience
- A degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Civil Engineering, or similar
- A willingness to travel for site work across the UK (and occasionally Europe)
- A proactive attitude and interest in developing technical remediation expertise
