Allen Speech and Language is continuing to expand its commissioned SEND services within Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a growing independent therapy provider delivering high-quality Local Authority commissioned services that have a direct impact on the educational access, functional independence and long-term outcomes of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
About the Opportunity
We are looking for HCPC registered Occupational Therapists to undertake a combination of:
- Functional Occupational Therapy Assessments
- Sensory processing and sensory needs assessments
- EHCP assessment advice and provision recommendations
- Specialist / tribunal assessments
- Direct therapy and intervention planning
- Collaborative work with schools, families and multi-agency professionals

Who We’re Looking For
We would love to hear from therapists who have:
- Registration with Health and Care Professions Council
- Experience supporting children and young people with SEND
- Strong assessment, report writing and clinical reasoning skills
- Experience writing Occupational Therapy advice for EHCPs (preferred)
- Knowledge of sensory processing, fine motor, functional and environmental needs
- Tribunal experience (desirable but not essential)
- Ability to work independently across education, clinic and community settings
All bands from NQT-Management will be considered. Roles can be full-time, part-time, term-time only, depending on preference. Will start from July onwards, with main contract starting in September.
