This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of Allen Speech & Language delivering statutory and therapeutic SALT services on behalf of Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Councils.
Key Responsibilities
- Standard Speech and Language Therapy Assessments
- Tribunal / Expert Witness Assessments
- Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) advice and recommendations
- Direct therapy delivery
- Collaborative work with families, schools and multi‑agency professionals
- Supervision of therapy assistant programmes where appropriate
You will play a key role in ensuring children and young people receive high quality, evidence‑based assessment and intervention to support educational outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or postgraduate qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
- Registration with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Membership of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists
- Experience working with children and young people with SEND
- Strong assessment, report writing and clinical reasoning skills
- Experience contributing to EHCPs highly desirable
- Tribunal / expert witness experience advantageous but not essential
- Ability to work independently across school, clinic and home settings
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred but not essential.
Roles & Working Hours
Roles are to start from July onwards and can be full‑time, part‑time, term‑time only depending on preference.
