We are recruiting for a Head of Pricing and Commercial for our London office.
Department purpose
The Pricing & Commercial team provides oversight and strategic direction across the global business with the goal of enhancing commercial returns. The team influences results at a client level and drives projects to leverage broader opportunities.
Role purpose
Lead the Pricing & Commercial team to support and drive the firm's commercial success. Provide advice, insight, and challenge to senior stakeholders on pricing and commercial matters, policies, and approaches.
Role and responsibilities
- Impact income growth, profitability, and strategy execution through a broad range of activities.
- Lead the Pricing Team in bid processes, client pricing, and developing strategies aligning client demands with profitability targets.
- Manage relationships with external clients, ensuring billing and collections are proactively managed, and facilitate resolution of issues.
- Maintain excellent relationships with internal stakeholders, advising on pricing and commercial matters, and preparing financial reports and analysis.
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue and profitability, review existing agreements, and maintain market benchmarking data.
- Act as secretary and commercial expert to the Commercial Committee, leading annual rate reviews and supporting implementation.
- Develop commercial toolkits, educational collateral, and support sector leads and partners.
- Manage and develop a team of pricing and commercial professionals, setting objectives and demonstrating emotional intelligence.
- Oversee the development of pricing tools, reporting, and data analysis in collaboration with finance functions.
Key requirements
- Deep understanding of commercial and economic factors in professional services.
- Strong analytical, commercial, and leadership skills.
- Ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels.
- Numerate, meticulous, with a finance background.
- Experience in a senior pricing leadership role, preferably in a global professional services organization.
Qualifications and work experience
- Qualified accountant preferred, with at least 10 years post-qualification experience in a commercial role.
- Experience in a senior pricing leadership role within a professional services industry is advantageous.
- Experience in a global organization is required.
