Allen Motor Group are currently looking to employ an Apprentice Vehicle Technician to join our Kia dealership in Rayleigh. This is a full-time position offered on a 4-year Apprenticeship Agreement, Monday – Friday 40 hours per week with a basic salary of £16,640 reporting to the Aftersales Manager.

Do I need experience? No! This is an entry level role with an opportunity to work towards a L3 apprenticeship, so we relish applications from people looking to begin their automotive career with us.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Learning and assisting in diagnosis, testing, servicing and repair of vehicles
  • Learning how to interpret and apply technical service/repair data
  • Building technical skills and knowledge in line with apprenticeship standards
  • Learning how to ensure vehicles comply with all safety and manufacturers’ standards and the associated paperwork that’s required
  • Gaining knowledge of and ensuring compliance with manufacturer warranty procedures
  • Attending college and completing all coursework/examinations including portfolios as required in order to attain the appropriate qualifications within the prescribed time span of the apprenticeship.
