Allen Lane is proud to be supporting UK Industrial Fusion Solutions (UKIFS) in the search for a Senior Commercial Manager to join one of the UK’s most ambitious and innovative engineering programmes. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of the STEP prototype fusion plant, helping shape the future of clean energy and supporting a programme expected to transform the global energy sector.

As Senior Commercial Manager, you will lead the commercial strategy and management of high-value engineering and infrastructure contracts, working alongside industry-leading partners in a highly complex and regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead negotiation and management of complex NEC contracts
  • Develop commercial and procurement strategies for major engineering programmes
  • Manage contractual risk, compliance, and supplier performance
  • Build collaborative relationships with Whole Plant Partners and stakeholders
  • Lead and develop high-performing commercial teams
  • Drive continuous improvement across commercial processes and delivery
What We’re Looking For:
  • MCIPS / RICS qualified (or equivalent)
  • Strong senior-level contract management experience
  • Expertise in NEC contracts and procurement strategy
  • Experience within engineering, infrastructure, utilities, energy, or public sector environments
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and leadership skills
