Responsibilities:
- Take responsibility for allocated tasks in the investigation of potential breaches of the organisations Handbook in the largest and most complex cases.
- Take proactive and appropriate action to progress cases at investigation and disciplinary tribunal within allocated tasks.
- Identify, raise and act in relation to issues arising from the work including submitting written summaries and information to senior staff where necessary.
- Contribute to ensuring that all policies and procedures in relation to the work of the Team are up to date and, where necessary, relevant new policies or procedures are developed in conjunction with other departments.
- Liaise with and assist the Legal Team in the conduct of litigation arising from issues related to the work of the Team including assisting senior staff in conducting such litigation where appropriate.
Essential criteria:
- Law Degree or equivalent experience in similar role.
- Significant experience of supporting lawyers in litigation and/or tribunal work.
- Providing services direct to the public.
- Analysing and summarising lengthy documents and large files for different audiences.
