We are seeking an experienced Senior Governance Manager to join a high-profile public sector project. This senior role reports directly to the Company Secretary, requiring strong governance expertise and the ability to operate effectively across complex organisational structures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide governance leadership and ensure compliance with corporate governance frameworks in a public sector environment.
  • Support the development and implementation of ESGT practices and robust control frameworks.
  • Interpret and apply governance requirements within the Framework Document and Development Agreement.
  • Work collaboratively across organisational functions, ensuring alignment with business processes and governance standards.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders to deliver governance solutions that meet regulatory and organisational objectives.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise confidently with senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to work autonomously and deliver high-quality outputs under minimal supervision.
  • Solid understanding of ESGT principles and corporate governance frameworks in a public sector setting.
  • Knowledge of Managing Public Money, Freedom of Information, and Environmental Information Regulations (EIR).
  • Familiarity with the National Audit Office and its powers is advantageous.
