Allen Lane are proud to be supporting the London Borough of Camden in their search for a Cyber Security Support Analyst. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking, security-first organisation that places digital resilience at the heart of everything it does, with a primary focus on the protection of critical services across Camden schools. The role sits within Camden’s Security Operations function, playing a vital role in protecting infrastructure, cloud platforms, data and digital services. You’ll be part of a collaborative SOC environment, working closely with Security Operations, IT Services and Information Security teams to detect threats, respond to incidents and continuously strengthen Camden’s cyber posture.

The role as Cyber Security Support Analyst includes:

  • Monitor for cyber-attacks, intrusions and suspicious or unauthorised activity across Camden’s estate
  • Investigate security alerts, incidents and breaches, responding quickly to mitigate risk
  • Support the secure configuration and operation of Microsoft Office 365 and Google Workspace environments
  • Provide advice and guidance to users on issues such as spam, phishing and malicious emails
  • Carry out risk assessments, identifying vulnerabilities and supporting remediation activity
  • Produce clear security reports and metrics for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively with SOC Engineers, IT teams and schools to embed security best practice

As a Cyber Security Support Analyst, you will have:

  • Experience working in a cyber security or technical security support role, ideally within a SOC or cloud-focused environment
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise security tools such as firewalls, endpoint protection, email security, SIEM and IDS/IPS
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, particularly Microsoft Office 365 and Google Workspace
  • Knowledge of cyber security frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, ISO and Cyber Essentials
  • Awareness of ISO27001, data protection principles and GDPR
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work calmly under pressure
  • Strong communication skills, able to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, SANS or equivalent will strengthen your application. Experience within an education environment or the public sector is advantageous but not essential.
